LUNA receives special distinction for innovation in aerosol packaging design at AEDA Aerosol Awards 2026

LINDAL Group is proud to announce that its innovative LUNA actuator has been recognised with a Special Distinction for Innovation in Aerosol Packaging Design at the AEDA Aerosol Awards 2026 on June 11th, organised by the Spanish Aerosol Association.
The award recognises LUNA’s unique combination of user convenience, safety, sustainability and design excellence, reinforcing LINDAL’s commitment to developing innovative dispensing solutions that create value for both customers and consumers.
Enhanced user experience with easy aerosol actuation
LUNA was developed to address evolving consumer expectations for ease of use, safety and environmental responsibility while maintaining the high-performance standards expected from LINDAL products.
At the heart of the design is an integrated 35 mm twist-lock mechanism that incorporates an on/off function directly into the actuator. This innovative approach eliminates the need for a separate protective cap, creating a cleaner and more intuitive user experience.
The integrated locking system helps prevent accidental actuation during storage and transport while allowing consumers to quickly unlock and use the product when needed. The clearly audible ‘click’ confirms to the user the locking/unlocking operation, for an even smoother experience.
Designed with Sustainability in Mind
Sustainability was a key consideration throughout the development of LUNA.
The actuator has been engineered using lightweighting principles, reducing material consumption without compromising functionality, robustness or user experience. By lowering the amount of plastic required, LUNA contributes to reduced resource use and lower carbon emissions associated with manufacturing and transportation.
The cap-free design further supports material efficiency by eliminating an additional plastic component. This point is becoming significantly relevant especially considering the emerginf of the plastic tax across many European countries. Fewer components not only reduce material usage but also simplify product design and help improve overall packaging efficiency.
