LINDAL taking a robust approach to cybersecurity
North America – 18th Novmber 2024
As a leader in the manufacture and supply of aerosol packaging, the LINDAL Group says cybersecurity is not simply a technical necessity, but an integral component of sustainability and a cornerstone for secure and resilient business operations in today’s world.
In the rapidly evolving digital landscape, the manufacturing industry has witnessed a 93% increase in cybercrimes from July 2023 to June 2024. A surge that LINDAL believes is a wake-up call for organisations to bolster their cybersecurity measures to prevent the potentially devastating impacts of data breaches and cyberattacks.
Regarding cybersecurity as not only a defence mechanism, but as a strategic advantage, LINDAL has over the last two years, embarked on a series of comprehensive initiatives designed to enhance the resilience of its IT environments. These efforts are aimed at ensuring LINDAL’s operations remain stable and that the delivery of services and goods to its customers and partners is reliable and secure. At the heart of these initiatives is a commitment to safeguarding data.
Organisation, Protection, Detection and Response
To achieve this heightened level of resilience, LINDAL has structured its cybersecurity initiatives into four core domains: Organisation, Protection, Detection, and Response. These domains align with leading industry practices and are built upon established standards and frameworks such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF) and ISO27001.
However, LINDAL’s cybersecurity efforts lie not only in the form of firm frameworks and strategies but also in the leadership that drives these initiatives.
Recently, LINDAL appointed Ejona Preçi, as new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). A visionary leader who understands the intricate balance between security and business agility, Ejona is a powerful voice for women in cybersecurity, and is recognised globally for her contributions and achievements. Named in the Global 40 Under 40 in Cybersecurity for 2024, she was also honoured with the prestigious Cybersecurity Woman of the Year 2024 Award from the United Cybersecurity Alliance, in the ‘Barrier Breaker’ category.
Her extensive expertise, reinforced with industry-leading certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC and ITIL v4, is instrumental in driving LINDAL’s cybersecurity strategy forward.
Ejona says: “My aim is to ensure that LINDAL navigates the complexities of the digital age while maintaining the trust of its customers and partners.”
She adds: “In an era where cyber resilience is synonymous with business success, LINDAL’s commitment to cybersecurity is not just a protective measure, it is the foundation of the company’s continued growth and sustainability.”
